The Expressions of Wellness - Body

Welcome To

Live By Our Codes

The body contains so many points of reference that affect our quality of life. Health and wellness are foundations for our body to feel nourished in the best way possible. A deeper connection with the body's intelligence educates ways to optimize and balance a growing mastery of well-being. Creating a myriad of pathways to connect more with maintaining homeostasis. Current choices of knowledge, tools, and resources supporting wellness also change our quality of life and sense of self.

Starting with our brain as one of the keys focuses that influences our quality of life we can understand fundamentals and life-changing ways to enhance our neurological potential which then has a domino effect on other systems and processes within the body. The brain represents a level of intelligence and support that affects the other key focuses within the body. The quality of our brain and how loved it is, hugely contributes to our overall quality of life. More is discussed in brain health.

The nervous system contains both the Central Nervous System, (CNS) and the Peripheral Nervous System, (PNS). The CNS consists of the brain and the spinal cord. The PNS is divided into the Somatic and Autonomic Nervous Systems, which consists of the Sympathetic and Parasympathetic nervous system. The Sympathetic Nervous System, (SNS), initiates the events of the fight/flight known as part of the stress response, and the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS), regulates resting responses. The PNS helps put the brakes on the excitatory processes released by the SNS. The Enteric Nervous System, (ENS) is the third part of the autonomic nervous system and involves the gut discussed further on.

Then we move on to our heart which beats around 115,000 beats a day, preserving our life and circulating quality nutrients and necessities, it also provides messaging as do our cells that communicate through signals and cues. Research shows improving brain and heart health involves the role of the gut and microbiome. Live By Our Codes refers to the brain-heart-gut as the 3 brains. It has been discovered that the gut has its own nervous system, known as the enteric nervous system. A healthy balance of the gut microbes contributes to a healthier functioning of the brain and heart as well as affecting other contributing organs and systems that maintain our quality of life.

The heart is so much beyond its physical functioning and truly represents a portal and place within us that coordinates ongoing potential through meeting the needs of what preserves and regenerates the heart's functioning and it's rhythm, creating a unique resonance within an individual's body too.

When the densest nutritional quality foods are prioritized that maximize the micro and macronutrients, are free from chemicals, GMO and toxins, also contain ingredients we easily identify and better still, homegrown, these all support optimum wellness outcomes. As does quality hydration with pure freshwater with the intention to provide quality dietary and hydration choices that reduce inflammation and many other potential threats to our health and well-being. Nutritional choices are personalized to the way individuals choose to live, influencing the bodies quality of life.  As individuals live choose what aligns to maintain balance, a whole new level of wellness, supporting us to maximize our gene expression also unfolds and provides pathways to exploring meta genes explored within Live By Our Codes.

Quality exercise is also well known to be highly beneficial to improving strength, supporting optimum aging, a balanced weight, reducing stress, improving our well being, and also our sense of joy in life. Exercise combined with the great outdoors gaining plenty of fresh air and sunshine also maximizes our higher potential as does restorative sleep. Great sleeping patterns regenerate our bodies' functioning, repair, and rejuvenate while the body rests also opening up cleansing channels, flushing out toxins that build up, supporting brain plasticity, and preserving our energy stores to generate the energy and focus needed for the highest functioning.

The 3 brains of the brain, the heart, and the gut make up part of the unified intelligence explored at Live By Our Codes and contributes to a support network that passes on and receives crucial information. These messages and resonance are created to improve and maintain biological, neurological, physiological biophysical, energetic congruence, and homeostasis expanding and connecting us to a place of inner discernment, higher functioning, and awareness of optimum wellness.

There are many ways to live enhancing your brains potential and minimize threats, through neuroprotective and neuro-enhancing brain-healthy habits. Exploring your brain is a new way of exploring your quality of life as we do in the Live By Our Codes framework.  Two ways to contribute to your optimal brain's potential is Brain Reserve and Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor, (BDNF).

Brain reserve is a sought-after treasure, supporting the brain’s ability to operate effectively even when some function is disrupted. Depending on the level of brain reserve depends on how much the brain can sustain damage before changes in cognition occur. Tolerance and the ability to adapt to change that occurs during ageing also depends on the way the brain reserve has been previously built and sustained.  Brain reserve changes lives for example each year of extra education can decrease the risk of dementia by 11%.

The other focus here for a healthy brain is Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF). BDNF supports the survival and growth of neurons. neural health and functioning, including the way we individually can be affected by stress hormones is also influenced by BDNF. BDNF also supports memory circuits, also helping to maintain an even mood.

To start with extensive recent research at Amen Clinics found some interesting differences between male and female brains. For women, the strengths in female brains include empathy, intuition, collaboration, self-control, and appropriate worry. Vulnerabilities tend to include anxiety, depression, insomnia, eating disorders, pain, and difficulty “turning off their brains.”

Men have about 10% more neurons (grey matter) than women, but women have more dendritic connections (white matter). Men tend to be more left-sided in their processing and to have a larger inferior parietal lobe, which is involved with estimating time, speed, mathematics, and visualizing objects in 3-D.

The brain involves so many different parts, lobes, functions, and ways to maintain its optional functioning through living a life reflective of loving your brain.
